Omar Faruk
Omar is an a senior undergraduate student at the University of New Mexico, majoring in Medical Laboratory Sciences. He currently serves as the President of the UNM MSA and as Director of Youth at the Islamic Center of New Mexico. He is passionate about Muslim community organizing, specifically in identifying stages of holistic community development and developing robust systems that nurture an organization’s long term sustainability — ultimately to help support, develop, and empower young Muslims to live Islam and drive positive, deep, meaningful change in our communities 🙂
