Maleeha Burney


Maleeha is a Biological Sciences Graduate from Florida Atlantic University and will go on to be a student at Qalam Academy while pursuing her Master’s of Science in Anesthesia. Notably, she is the founder of a non-profit Muslim Youth Volunteer Group, the creator of a Mental Health Forum tailored for Muslim Students at FAU, and is a Lead for the South Florida Palestine Efforts Coalition. In addition, Maleeha is an active participant in organizations like Young Muslims and Charity Week. Previously, Maleeha served as Vice President of FAU MSA for two years and subsequently held the position of President for an additional two years. Under her guidance, the organization achieved the prestigious “Organization of the Year” award, a first in FAU MSA’s history. Presently, she serves as the Director of Internal Affairs and mentors the current FAU MSA. Maleeha is driven to share her wealth of experience and knowledge by supporting MSAs all over. Her commitment, multifaceted leadership, and dedication mirror her aspiration to contribute to the unity and future progression of the ummah.
